Curse Mackey - creative destructionist...philanthropomorphic modern surrealist...Curse Mackey is a multi-platform producer, performer, DJ, soundtrack composer, art curator and general instigator of cultural debauchery.
Over the last thirteen years Curse has carved a unique and engaging path in the world of electro-industrial music, and as an in-demand art curator and creative consultant. From his early days as vocalist/samplist for the notorious tribal-industrial group EVIL MOTHERS, to his involvement with MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT, his evolution from keyboardist to lead vocalist of industrial supergroup PIGFACE and as creator of the wickedly enchanting GRIM FAERIES, Curse has continued to redefine and redesign his artistic output and lifestyle.
He was the founder of the controversial Club Fuck in Tampa, FL and DJ's fetish and art events throughout the US. He recently completed a staggering 38 pieces of music for the much anticipated, online role-playing game, TABULA RASA, which was released in Nov. 2007 by NCSoft, one of the world's largest game publishers. He is currently working on a solo record as well as expanding the soundtrack pieces for Tabula Rasa for public release. Look for a new Pigface record in 2008 also.
He has curated art exhibits with such luminaries as HR GIGER and CLIVE BARKER and is one of the few men to be photographed by top Fetish photographers Steve Diet Goedde and Lithium Picnic. He curated the art exhibit Six-String Masterpieces: the Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute which raised over $200,000 for music education and featured 65 Dean ML guitars that were hand-painted by Rob Zombie, Mark Ryden, Alex Grey, Marilyn Manson, Paul Booth, James Hetfield and Ace Frehley to name a few. Along with Fuse Gallery NYC director Erik Foss, he co-curated and has artwork featured in a critically acclaimed exhibit called DRAW that is in the midst of a seven city world tour throughout 2008.
